Zak Noyle | Ola Cubana
RVCA advocate and world-renowned photographer Zak Noyle was recently commissioned by Apple to shoot a short film on location in Cuba, using solely his iPhone and AxisGO water housing to document. The results were stunning.
'Ola Cubana' focuses on a group of individuals within the Cuban surf community whose efforts symbolize things to come in their burgeoning nation. The film explores the humble beginnings of their movement, the struggles they face in a developing country and how interest in surfing is growing across the island. Their attempt to compete in the 2020 Olympic Games for surfing will ultimately shed light on the potential of how far they can take the sport in Cuba.
Shot on iPhone XS and XS Max. Commissioned by Apple.
